get your
hands dirty
write your poems
nice and flirty
keep it simple
don’t get wordy
tell her
ya think she’s pertty

heaven
heaven is full of
lies with angel
eyes and prayer
beads wrapped
tightly around
your neck
feel them squeeze
between your sighs
24th anniversary
we are
two stars
locked in orbit
held by
gravity’s embrace
magnetic
and enigmatic
reveling in each
stellar space
pillow
with each yawn
i fear that soon
my pillow
will eat me alive
godly
if god has a plan
she left me out of it
or maybe
that was the plan
and i’m just
oblivious
sometimes
sometimes
prolific
occasionally
poetic
but always
enamored
with you
willful
i’m the willful
hopeless romantic
that breaks promises
and digs holes
that become graves
for his relationships
kerosene
when
the words turn on
they’re spilt out like
kerosene on wooden floors
soaking deep into the grain
until it’s dripping through
to the neighbors flat
final day
the sun
the moon
the stars
the planets
of the milky way
are all points
of light
on my canvas
realigned
to say
you’re the
only being
in the universe
that makes
my heart
swoon and sway
and i’d gladly
shift a
billion more
just to
hold you
until my
final day
my ocean
you are my ocean
i am it’s waves
together we are
stronger than tides
and we move
their currents
our way
