pleasing to the eye

ripples on the lake
thank the falling leaves for their
lonely existence

inspiration and gives us
a moment to pause

i broke her kind heart
left with the taste of betrayal

to know the mountain
travel through its valleys and
breathe in the vista

cross hatched thick grass
covers the path i travel
natures weave guides me
